Georges is currently a stress analysis engineer at Airbus Helicopters. He works on the stress analysis of the helicopter's blades, more specifically on the adhesive joint bonding the metallic shield of the leading edge to the composite airframe. His PhD thesis was focused on the damage tolerance analysis of bonded joints on helicopter's blade leading edge. The static and fatigue solicitations in different environmental conditions were explored. Hybrid specimens were designed in order to test the fracture mechanics properties of the adhesive joints. A testing procedure was then established for certifying the damage tolerance of the adhesive.
